Free to Choose

I was involved in a discussion with some friends and acquaintances about life choices. One of the individuals there was reporting on how hard life was at the moment for him. He seemed to have a lot stacked against him and shared with the group all of the problems he was facing. The group was very sympathetic and responded by giving this individual some very helpful suggestions on how to improve his circumstances. It seemed to me that every suggestion was shot down by an excuse why it could or would not work for him. After listening to a few more excuses I finally said “Your Free to Choose Your Life”. Of course there was dead silence and a little bit of an awkward moment. However the discussion took a turn for the better. Instead of the group telling this individual how to improve his life he was given a suggestion that it is his choice from that moment forward what life he chooses.
So the question becomes…..Who are you being today? You are free to choose what ever life you desire but it comes down to a simple choice…Yours!
