If You Want Good Things To Happen, You Must Attract Them

in

There are enough endorsements of "The Secret", a book that teaches those who read it about "The Law of Attraction" so I do not need to go there today. I do want to take a few moments to share some tips I have used from the book that I truly feel have changed my life, and the way I run my intenet home based business and conduct my day to day happenings.

Its easy enough to say, if you are a negative person, you will attract negative things in your life. There is no crazy science to that statement - just think about it, most happy people are happy because they surround themselves by other happy people, and do not want anything to do with negative people. I am a happy person and have no desire to mingle with people who are negative all the time. The put out an energy that is painful, and brings you down. I am not saying these are bad people, just people I do not want to be associated with, in where I am going with my life.

Think about starting an Internet business (or any business for that matter) in the same terms. If you are constantly telling yourself that you can't do it, and its to hard, then you will fail. You have doomed your business a failure before you even started it! If you are surrounded by people who are constantly telling you that you are going to fail at your business, you may start to believe them. This is the main reason for me saying that you need to surround yourself with people who believe in you, and who will not bring you down.

You will have to deal with doubting family members, friends and business associates. My best tip for helping you succeed with your Internet business is to not share what you are doing with your family members right at first. No, I am not encouraging you to lie, but give them no reason to question what you are doing in your life. You already have enough of the elements stacked against you as a first time business owner, you do not need anymore negative energy. Find the friends and family members that will support you, and surround yourself with their goodness and encouragement. It may sound simple and silly, but it could make the difference between your success and failure.

Most of the family members and friends you know have very traditional ways of thinking. They think a 9 -5 working for someone else at a "good stable job" is the way to go. I can think of about 5 people I know within the last month who have been laid off, or are fearing layoffs from their jobs. They are working at high profile companies too, ones you would not expect to be having layoffs. The days of stable jobs that you keep for 40 years and then retire are gone. If you really want a stable financial future, making your own money and taking care of your family yourself is the only way to go. Not having to rely on someone else to pay your bills is the way to go.

A little over 5 years ago I had one of these "stable jobs" making about 32k a year, and I had resigned myself that that job was the best I was going to do. After all, it was one of those "stable jobs" everyone who thinks traditionally kept telling me was so good, and that I was lucky to have. I would be retiring in 30 or so years maybe making 10k more then when I had started. I would be living in the same small house, and probably would have been living paycheck to paycheck all those 30 years. Does that sound like a good life to you, full of life experiences being able to do all the things you want to do? This is the best my life would get (as I thought) until I had a life changing experience through an accident that got me thinking differently. That life changing experience I will not get into today, maybe another day another post, but the point is it helped me change the way I think.

I now realize that none of us have any limitations. If you want that big house, then do what it takes to get it. If you want more time with your kids, then do something about it, and make it happen. You can have what you want, and you should never let someone tell you that you have limits. If you have the power to believe in yourself, you can make it happen. This is why I love this business so much. It helps people realize that they are not stuck, and there is hope.

Everyone keeps talking about a recession, and how bad the economy is, but I have never lived better. There are two sides to everything - what side do you want to be on?
