Goal setting is valuable to your success

You have read on my site that 3% of people have a net worth of $1 million or more, the other 97% work to make them richer. The 3% understand and grasp one simple concept. It is they set goals for themselves. Goal setting is a valuable part of each businesses success.

Start first by sitting down and writing both short and long term goals. Review your goals daily. As you accomplish short term goals it will bring you closer to your long term goals. You will feel better about yourself and give you the motivation needed to achieve your success.

You get what you FOCUS on

in
Have you ever been around someone that is constantly negative? It seems that life is never right for them. They give their energy and focus to all the things they do not want in life. Someone has done them wrong, they are in a bad relationship, they are financially struggling…whatever. The subconscious mind gives them more of what they focus on. More trouble, heartache and difficulties. These types of people are focused on what they do not want. Their conversations usually begin with “I don’t want…….”

Does Your Money Work For You?

in
Does your money work for you or do you work for your money? In the book Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki it dives into this concept. I call it being smart with your money! Not only do I teach people the concept of having money work for them but I also try to instill in my own family the importance of “being smart with your money”.

Getting Comfortable with Uncomfortable

in
Ever jump into a semi-cold pool to feel the chill and after a few minutes get so comfortable that you begin to forget about being cold. You begin to enjoy the whole swimming experience and the thought of being cold is no longer in existence. Well, my thought is that you got comfortable with uncomfortable.

Free to Choose

in
I was involved in a discussion with some friends and acquaintances about life choices. One of the individuals there was reporting on how hard life was at the moment for him. He seemed to have a lot stacked against him and shared with the group all of the problems he was facing. The group was very sympathetic and responded by giving this individual some very helpful suggestions on how to improve his circumstances. It seemed to me that every suggestion was shot down by an excuse why it could or would not work for him.

Believe That Anything Is Possible!

in
I recently spent sometime at SeaWorld. One of the most amazing shows is the Shamu show. What can I say the talent and dedication the trainers have to make such a remarkable animal perform. The whole show was based on “believe” that anything can happen. After the show my husband turned to me and said “that was inspiring”. The whole idea was that if you believe in yourself anything is possible. What a powerful tool to have.

I Value My Time......

Today I started my day working a few hours looking out at the San Diego Bay. The rest of the time was spent with my family and enjoying this beautiful city. I am greatful for this portabale business. It has allowed me to manage my time so that I can enjoy what matters to me the most. Time is so valuable. You too can have the opportunity to spend your time the way you want.

Happiness is the Key to Success

I happened upon this article in the Guardian that talks about a study published stating that happiness is the key to success- not the other way around. This totally makes sense!! How many people do you know that are completely miserable at their job, and going no where at it? And inversely, how many happy people do you know that are moving quickly up the ladder of success? Also, you can look at it a different way: how many happy people are stagnant at their job, that WANT to be moving up?
